How long does the morning commute take from Riverside, CA to LA?

I live in Riverside and usually avoid morning rush hour traffic to LA, but I have a meeting Friday at 9:30am in the Santa Monica area, and I am trying to figure out what time I need to leave and which freeway would be the best. (And I of course know about the wonders of sigalert, but it often underestimates mph for parked traffic…)

For traffic reports on the least evil route and yes check sigalertcom before you leave to find the 5s and kfwb.
